Expired

Question

I opened my Adware Alert 2007 and it says that my subscription has expired do I want to renew?  I thought that this was a free version and you didn't have to pay unless you wanted to go Plus or Pro?  If it's free then why does it say expired when I open it up?  Do I have to pay to continue using this?  I was told that the free version is sufficient enough to use and Windows Defender along with it, would this be enough?  Thank you.

Did you install the 30day free trial of one of their pay for products, possibly? Like AdAware Plus? I had downloaded the Adware 2007 not the Ad-Aware 2007, it was confusing but they are both different.  I deleted the Adware 2007 and installed the free version of the Ad-Aware 2007 now I'm all set and also download the Windows Defender to use along with this.  Thank you.  P.S.  I have also AdAware SE Plus installed on my computer and was using that until I was told that updates would no longer be available for this and to upgrade to the new Ad-Aware 2007.  I went to the add/remove and tried to remove this AdAware SE Plus but a box comes up saying Wise Uninstall, Could not open INSTALL Log file.  So any idea how I can remove this old AdAware SE Plus?  Thanks.

All you can do is go and delete the program folders associated with the program. Look in,   C:\Program Files   there may be another folder in   C:\Program Files\Common Files

Thank you.  I was able to find it in the C:Program Files and deleted it and then I went back into Add/Remove and was able to remove the file from there.  Thank you again for your help.
