Fastest flash for VISTA's Ready Boost

OK,

I am after making the general Vista system faster (oh and boot I suppose).  I already have 4GB of laptop memory but Im still looking for the best performance.  I've seen lots of threads on this but nothing discussing the differences of picture card over USB flash drive.  I have an 8-1 internal card reader and was hoping to use this but all I see are comments saying stick to USB flash drives but is this not less stable since you can leave the card in your laptop but knock the USB driver and it may uninstall.

Anyway what's the fastest SD & USB 4GB units out there (and hopefully us UK people may be able to get hold of some).

Also anyone got any performance out of SD/MMC/xD etc?

i would say with 4 gig memory that you will not see any boost at all.

There are some reports (Wikipedia is one) that suggests that the readyboost really doesn't do what it's supposed to.  I tried a readyboost ready SanDisk in my system and didn't notice any difference in operation with or withouit it so I quit using it.
