Fatal system error

Question

I've had my Dim 5150 for a couple of months now and its been working fine. Last night I loaded some business software and on rebooting I got the so called blue sceen of death! It says fatal system error then numbers like c000021a and at the end it says the system has been shut down. I tried F8 but none of the options have worked. The software company state that they have sold hundreds of copies and have not heard of this before. Can anyone help me? Regards Geoff

Sounds like some system files are corrupted or damaged.   http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/doug92.mspx   You may need to do an XP repair. Use the link above for addtional info.

Go to command prompt and type this SFC /SCANNOW. Then place your windows XP Cd in the drive and let it scan your system. If there is a major problem it will fix it. It is something to try. Cystum Go to command prompt and type this SFC /SCANNOW. Then place your windows XP Cd in the drive and let it scan your system. If there is a major problem it will fix it.
