Frozen Mouse?
On occasion, my cursor will just freeze. It doesn't happen often (once or twice a week), but when it does, it happens at the wrong time. SOMETIMES if you wiggle the mouse for about two minutes, it comes back to life, but most of the time you are left to navigate with the keyboard and reboot. Is this Software or hardware Failure???
NOTE: The cursor does act up very often. Maybe every-other day, it will start skipping around (it's not a smooth scroll, it will jump one or two inches across the screen) and is very choppy. IT IS VERY ANNOYING, but will go away after 10 minutes or so.
ALSO NOTE: The occurances are completely random. It doesn't occur when there are too many programs running, or when I open up certain programs. It just happens out of the blue...

Its possible some software is freezing up. Look in your event viewer for a possible clue to the problem by doing this:
Go to your Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer Check under the System Tab for any listed error messages. If any are found, repost them in a new thread or go to http://www.google.com and input the error message in the search box to see if solution may be listed.
Also check to be sure you have the latest driver for the mouse installed. Kip

Hey Wayland!
What kind of mouse do you have?
A regular mouse with a ball could have dirt, or even a hair, that can cause similar problems...ya need to open the bottom and clean the ball once in a while.
I've also seen erratic cursors with a wireless mouse...are the batteries old? Just before the batteries die the cursor goes wacky.
I also use a WACOM tablet that uses a wireless mouse and a pen...if the pen is too close to the tablet when using the mouse, you get cursor problems...
good luck!
