Hassles trying to install win 10

I gave up on trying to upgrade  my Optiplex 9010 to win10 because of it crashing from not enough internet. I got a Del reinstall disk, and deleted the C drive stuff from the hard drive. When I have done this before it detected the CD/DVD and installed it. This time it says I have no operating system.

Is there a setting in my bios, or can I use my flash drive to put a file there so it loads? With all those options it should go

Thank you in advance for your help

You might be forgetting to boot to the reinstall disk. You cannot reinstall without booting to the dvd drive. There is nothing on the hard drive to boot the computer.

I have tried several options. Before I tried doing win 10 the other day. I went through all the stuff including the 2 bios upgrades from Dell. I also downloaded all the new drivers from Dell. Ever since I put them on, it ignores the DVD when I have it st to go just from the CD/DVD with legacy option in the system setting. I have slow internet I have not  been able to get any form of win10 download to happen. I have a file downloaded with Win7 in an  iso and put it on a flash drive. I set the install to come from USB, and it spent some time saying it is installing files. but it took a long time. but apparently crashed. I am visiting somewhere this weekend with fast internet, and I am thinking I can get a win10 in iso format.

I paid a lot of money for my computer & I have used it a lot for 4 yrs. I understand for many companies that is expected life cycle. We are on disability, so we have limited resources. If anyone can suggest anything besides a boat anchor, that doesn't cost too much I would be happy to try it otherwise I have made my last Microsoft purchase. Does a computer purchased have to stay that way. I am thinking about changing to Linux  if necessary, Thank you for any help anyone can offer in advance
