Ok, thanks. Ive got it working now and i was worried whether this would affect the MBR (and the CTRL + F11), but thanks for the reassurance.
If i were to partition my harddrive, this would affect the MBR (and CTRL + F11) right? Would there be any way to fix it becuase i am thinking of doing this.
if you partition the hard drive then what happens is the image portion of the symatic restore may fail there is a way ti fix this when you need a restore as long as you havent deleted the image fat32 partition the DB dell hidden one.
you might consider just adding another hard drive instead then you would not have any problems with the ctrl 11 feature you can do anything you want to the new hard drive and not effect the current system

the boot ini is read by the system after the MBR so your not editing the MBR i can tell you that.
