Help with Optiplex 790 Dual Boot Windows 7 with Windows XP
Hi, I need help installing Windows XP Professional on the Optiplex 790 in a dual boot with Windows 7 Professional, I get this error "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your Computer STOP: 0x0000007B (0XF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x000000000,0x00000000" I believe it due to the SATA controller I did download the R304291 drivers from Dells website but I need to extract the drivers for the SATA in add it the XP CD but there is over 114 files if someone can tell me which ones I need so I can install windows XP any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

This is the driver you should be using:
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
You will need to load these files from a floppy at the F6 prompt during Windows Setup ... or use nLiteOS.com to integrate the drivers into your installation media.
