How can i cancel or install windows 8 ?
How can i cancel the installation of windows 8 ?
i wanted to install windows 8 over my windows xp. on my dell dimension 8200. I inserted the disc while on my desktop and it went through the process, until it rebooted and took me to windows 8 logo. It stayed like that for 5 seconds then it gave me Your PC needs to restart; Please hold down the power button; Error code 0x000000-5C; Parameters 0x00000110,0xFFD09B50,0x00000019, 0xC0000001. i held then button and turned it back on again. but it gave me the same error again, endless loop... i read that going into bios and finding No-Execute Memory Protection option and enabling it so it can work, but i don't have that option. I looked everywhere but nothing. Can someone help me either install or remove windows 8

Hi dbeduardod,
You will have to use the Windows XP operating system reinstallation disc so that you could initiate the installation and format the hard drive to remove the Windows 8 on the system.
I would not recommend Windows 8 for Dimension 8200 system.

I don't have the disc. can i download the disc online ? If not can i do something else without it ?
