How can I get the raw Windows 7 Operating System Installation Discs?
Hello,
I am new Dell Customer and just purchased my first Dell Inspiron 14 computer with Windows 7 pre-installed. How can I get a copy of the raw Windows 7 Operating System Installation discs? I want to re-install Windows 7 without the boatload of additional software that was installed on my system. I will also need to partition my disk and install other operating systems. So all I want is just a basic Windows 7 system.
Thanks,

The reinstallation disks from Dell do NOT have the additional software on them. Those are usually included on a separate disk(s).
The only thing that differs between the Dell Windows 7 DVD and a Microsoft Windows 7 DVD is the OEM (Dell, in this case) branding stuff ... OEM background, OEM login screen, OEM badge in System Properties, and an OEM auto-activation mechanism so you don't/shouldn't have to enter your Product Key to activate it, etc..

Thank you... I thought that contained all the additional application software including demos, trials, etc, etc.?

You may also use Windows 7 Retail .isos and phone activation. My two wikies A Clean Install of Windows and Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Downloads (link found in my signature) explain this further.
The A Clean Install of Windows wiki will guide you through the install with Dell-Microsoft Windows Reinstallation Media also.
