HOW DO I DISABLE THE TABLET PC INPUT PANEL FROM VISTA?

I've just bought a desktop dimension 9200 with Vista, and the tablet pc input panel is driving me mad! I have no use for this atall, so I want to disable it. It just keeps popping onto my screen which is really annoying.
Does anybody know how to disable or even remove this from my pc?

Please help!

Many Thanks :smileyhappy:

Open the tools menu in the Tablet Input, select exit it should close.

(I found the hard way the Red X just minimizes it)

Hi, Thanks - I have tried that but there is no exit option under tools? Just options & where I want to dock the thing - which I don't... Any other ideas? Would really appreciate it

See if this works:
  1. Select Control Panel, then Programs and Settings
  2. On the Task Pane, select Turn Windows features on or off.
  3. Once the WIndows Features dialog appears, remove the tick against Tablet PC Optional Components then click OK.  You might have to restart your PC.

You could also go to your Administative Tools in your control panel and click on Services and disable the Tablet PC Panel all together. If it doesn't work you can always go back and start the process up again. Hope this helps. You will have to look down the list of services being ran on your computer and select the one for PC Tablet. Next right click on it and go to the little drop down list where you have several choices, Automatic Delay, Automatic, Manual etc. Click on disable and apply and that should take care of the problem.
