How do I know what 'build' I have?

Question

Need to update my NVIDIA display driver but the newest one says it can only be used with Vista build 6000 or later. What is a "build" and how do I know which one I have? THanks!

PS I went online with the Dell service chat and they didn't even know what I meant by "build." He offered to take over my computer and update the driver himself but I think not.

Click on the mircosoft pearl, type in : system information, click on that program.

Not eralier versions, maybe they were the RC1, and RC2, (Release Candidate) before Vista was finally released

typing WINVER on the search field gives you the version of Windows you have (All Windows versions)
