I lost my boot option on CD/DVD Device

Which system are we talking about here?  

Which operating system are you trying to install?  'CD' indicates XP which cannot be installed to GPT.

I'm in RAID 1 with Perc H130 adapter.

Yes it's a DVD, I'm installing 64-bit.

My problem is that : when I try to run this dvd in UEFI mode it's ok because the boot option appear, but when I try to load separate driver, it crash and the pc reboots.

And when I try to run a dvd that I make with vlite to integrate my drivers,it's impossible because the boot option doesn't appear for the UEFI mode.

I try to catch this option with the original dvd and I replace it before boot but it doesn't work.

Have I no solution to re-install my windows?!

Windows 7 is DVD, not CD.  Yes, it will be required to install on a 3TB disk formatted as GPT in UEFI mode in order for Windows to boot from the disk.  Are you installing 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?  64-bit is required.

What system?! (I might at this point guess a T5600 or T7600, but don't make me guess - it is not irrelevant :))

What system?  You mentioned "RAID" ... what controller do you have?

There is no reason why it should cause your computer to reboot - even if the driver were incorrect it would not immediately reboot.

Can you boot to the DVD that you "made" on another computer?  Are you sure you created the DVD correctly to be bootable?

Not all >2TB disks come as GPT - I would confirm in Diskpart before assuming, although you'd only need to worry about that once you've gotten that far.

Third I've already click on the Load Drivers button and during the loading of the driver, the pc reboots! My problem is here!

To resolve it I've made a new bootable DVD of windows with the driver of adapter in. But this DVD is not recognize as a bootable by my EFI mode.

(And the conversion of my disk to GPT is not necessary because it's already in GPT )

The reboot occurs with the original dvd of Windows.

With me in house DVD, the boot on this dvd is impossible inEFI mode. But it can boot in legacy mode and it run.

And I can say that my disk is in GPT because in legacy mode, the loading of driver is possible, so I can see my partitions (make with gparted previously). But as I'm in legacy mode, windows can't install in GPT disk.

Is it clear.

In brief, I hope find a solution to run the original DVD and load separate driver correctly OR a solution to boot in my in house DVD in EFI mode.

First, make sure this is the driver you are using:

www.dell.com/.../precision-t3600

Make sure to run the file first to extract its contents, then put the contents on a USB flash drive.

Second, if you want RAID set up (and you do indeed have two drives already), then set it up in CTRL-R first - this controller supports non-RAID, but it cannot be switched from one to the other without data loss.

Third, when you boot to your Windows DVD, choose Repair Your Computer.  When it can't find any disks or Windows installations, click on the Load Drivers button, then load the driver above (can be put on a USB key / flash drive).  Then proceed to Command Prompt / Diskpart to convert your disk to GPT and/or create any necessary partitions, then exit to the installer and try again.

Another option would be to install on a smaller drive to be used as a boot drive, then you can enjoy the increased performance of accessing data on a different drive from your OS.

I understand the problems of GPT and UEFI, but what you describe isn't what one would normally see (loading drivers should not reboot your PC and your custom DVD should boot in UEFI mode).  

If you boot to BIOS, Sata Operation, is it set to ATA or AHCI?  This is most likely controlling your DVD drive ... make sure it is set to ATA.

Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

I've changed the Sata operation option to ATA but the problem stay the same.

Another test : I've try to launch a shell and I ran the setup.exe of the windows in the BOOT directory in the machine.

But when I arrive at the page of contrat lisence, I have no mouse and the Entry touch can't select "I agree", so I can't go far in this installation.

Another test, I've made a bootable USB, and it's effectively bootable in UEFI mode, but the driver is not found and when I load it, the pc reboot again.

Now , I have no idea to install windows.

I've tested a new way. I find an update of my bios in dell site. But this driver is in fact an executable programm.

To run it , I run the windows DVD, choose "Repair" to access to prompt.

With this prompt I try to run my programm of updating and the error message appears :

"The sub-system required to take care of the type of image is not present"

Have you a new idea to run this update of my bios? It could solve my problems of rebooting unexpected.
