IE7 - Working with Tabs

Is there a setting that will force a link to be opened in a new tab and not (1) the curent tab, (2) nor a new window.  In messing with the settings, these are the onoly two default behaviors I can get to work.  The "right click/Open in New Tab" feature works and this is what I want for a default, if possible.

Other than this, I am happy so far with IE7.0

thanks for your time...

Tools, Internet Options, Setting for Tabs, select open links in new tab in current window.  Works for me.

Try clicking the link with your mouse wheel. This opens the link in a new tab inside the browser for me. You might also try checking/unchecking the tab settings under the tools menu. Sometimes things just need a good old fashioned resetting.
