Improper Windows ME User Account permissions to Install Media Player

When I tried to upgrade to Windows Media Player 9.0; I received the following messages:

"Windows Media Player is not installed properly"
"Restart your computer and log on with a user account that permits you to install programs."

I am the only one who uses & needs any authorizations to use/install on my computer (no other users).  I want to set default user authorizations to have complete control over my computer and rid myself of the Network User ID/PW Logon Box at boot-up also?

So, how or where do I go to set my computer for the proper authorizations or permissions to be the "Administrator" of my own computer?  (I could then reboot & then reinstall Media Player).

Go to Network properties (by right clicking My Network Places), and set the default login to Windows login. That should solve both problems.
