Try looking in C:\program files

or:

Go to start---search---Microsoft works, or whatever you are searching for.

I have it installed from CD & shows in "All Programs"
Also "Add or Remove Programs" as Microsoft Works 7.0
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Work
------------------
As you can't download Works 4.0 from Microsoft what link did you use.?
I found a site that sell Work 4.0 without BOX for US $5 but says
System Requirements   WIN 95/98 so other programs probably won't work on XP.

I still can't figure out why it doesn't appear in  "ALL PROGRAMS" but now at least I can use it.  Thanks to both of you....

When you find it in search, right click on it. Click "Pin to start menu" if that option is available.

Or, right click, click "send to"=== Desktop(create shortcut)
Then at least you can access it without doing a search.

Thanks for the suggestion.  "Start" then "Search" with  the Microsoft Works in the search box worked fine.   Never used that before.  Thanks again.

Curios.?
You say you downloaded it using "Windows XP Office" which isn't the XP Download Manager. ?
If you already had Office why did you download Works 4.0 as Office has Spell Checker that works with OE.?

Perhaps it doesn't appear in "All Programs" as isn't rated for XP only  95/98.
