i have a XPS 15 L502x and I just formatted my notebook. All drivers were installed correctly, but two drivers keep saying that they are not installed correctly or they are unrecognized. So, i would like to ask which drivers i have to install to solve this two problems.
Request you to let me know if you get any error message when you try to install the drivers. You may then provide me the hardware IDs of the computer so that I can find the right driver. I will then check and see what can be done.
To find the hardware ID of the computer you may use the below link:
SM Bus Controller should be definitely be fixed by Installing the Chipset Drivers, Or you may go to http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect Follow the instructions and that should surely fix the issue, For the other one try installing the Chipset Drivers....
One thing to note is that the Service Tags are not yielding all the correct drivers for the XPS L502x/L702x I have had several users report the problem in the past few days and would advise getting the drivers direct from the Dell FTP Website:
Hello. can you help me. During the windows 8 clean install it asks for drivers. It will not let me continue without them and I do not know what drivers it is wanting.
I will be glad to help you. Request you to send me a picture of the screen where the drivers are being prompted. I will then check and see what can be done.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I was away the last 10 days with limited internet access. Having a closer look it looks like Dell provide no Intel Rapid Storage technology Drivers for Windows 8 for this system.
Use f6flpy-x64.zip for a 64 bit installation and ensure to extract the folder onto the USB stick. Let me know if you can pass the screen you are stuck at.

Hi eddynakamura,
Request you to use the below link then update chipset and drivers:
http://dell.to/176C1pl
Input service tag, click on drivers and downloads, select operating system, under chipset tab select Intel HM67 driver and card reader driver.
If you have any other questions do reply to the same thread.

Hi Kiran,
I did that, installing all drivers that I saw that was missing. But this two (showed in the picture), they don't get "solved".
Thanks
Eddy

Hi birddseedd,
You may want to use a camera to take a picture of the screen and then scan it and send it as an attachment. Then I can check for the same.

Where did you get your Windows 8 installation media. Usually if the SATA drivers don't work the installation media is corrupt.
