Installing Vista on inspiron 6000

I am using Dell Inspiron 6000 with Centrino 1.74Ghz, 512 MB RAM and 80GB Hard disk and Windows XP as the operating system.
Should i go for Windows Vista ?
And where can i find the drivers for the same for Vista ?

Thanks

No--512 is not enough memory and replacing memory for the I6000 is expensive. You need at least 1Gig, better 2G. The integrated graphics won't run Aero so you will only have Basic which is slower than XP. Stay with XP and save for a new faster computer. Run the Windows Upgrade Advisor at the MS Vista site and it will tell you the same thing--except it wants you to buy Basic and upgrade your computer.

Hi
if you have this 128MB DDR ATI's Mobility™ Radeon X300, is in your computer
it will run Vista with aero,{ {if}} you have 1gig of ram if you have Vista H P
If you have H BASIC it does not have the option of aero.
I have the same video in a compaq laptop with Vista ultimate, with
512mb no areo with 1gig it ran Vista aero and the system runs very good.
