INTERNET EXPLORER 9 DOES NOT WORK WITH MY COMPUTER

I HAVE A WINDOWS 7 540s.  THE INTERNET EXPLORER 9 SEEMS TO NOT WORK WITH MY COMPUTER.  I KEEP TELLING MY INTERNET PROVIDER THAT WHEN I SEND AN EMAIL OUT. I NEVER GET A CONFIRMATION. I DELETED MY INTERNET EXPLORER 9 AND I AM USING INTERNET EXPLORER 8, WHICH WORKS FINE WITH ALL. . BUT I AM CONTINUING TO GET AN  UPDATE MESSAGE FOR THE INTERNET EXPLORER 9.  WHAT COULD CAUSE ONE TO WORK AND ONE NOT TO WORK? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

I reinstalled internet explorer 9. I thought about what I did different. I remembered that I had uninstalled the Microsoft

Security Essentials. So I reinstalled it and all works fine.

This is not a dell issue.  It is a microsoft issue.  IE9 Breaks things.

So does firefox 5.  Try Firefox 3.6.19

May be that something went wrong with the update, causing it not to work properly.  You could try reinstalling it to see if it works better this time around.  If not, you can try IE9's Compatibility View.  If not, then you could simply access that site with a different browser.  If you don't want it to bug you about updating to IE9, you can "hide" that update, although I would recommend you not go forever without updating, as IE9 will be increasingly more secure and faster.  I would contact your ISP and ask for a fix ... there is no excuse (assuming they haven't updated their site to be in compliance with IE9) for them not to have fixed it by now.
