Internet Log: Windows Explorer
My Internet Logs, Windows Explore has 297 items or files on it. What is this program? Can I delete some or all of the items or whatever they are. Does this program have a limit as to size or does it just keep growing? Some of the programs open up in Word Pad and are either Blank or in Computer Language. Microsoft advised me that Internet Logs was not a part of their program and to contact my Computer Manufacturer. I did and no results. Dell advised me how to Clear History on Internet Explorer. How do you know those are "Internet Logs?" What is the specific name of the folder you right clicked, and just to clarify, did you select "Preferences," or the previously specified Properties? Where are they specifically identified as "Internet Logs?" That's an incredible amount of files for any sort of internet log file, and I wouldn't do a thing to any of them until they're adequately identified as far as what they are, and where they came from. I'm not inclined to think they're any sort of internet log, though.
It occurs to me to inquire as to whether you've recently performed a Disk Cleanup via Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup, with all the boxes checked for cleanup except "Temporary PC Health Files." If not, you should. Almost everything in the form of junk/temporary files that need to be purged can be, just by using this tool. Anything else is going to require more adequate identification before I'd recommend tampering with it.

Flooby: Sorry, I checked Properties as you had instructed. How do I know these are Internet Logs, That is the name it has on it. I go to Programs, Click Accessories, Click Windows Explorer. Change - sign to + sign on My Documents, Change + sign to - sign on My computer, Change + sign to - sign on Local Disk. Change + sign to - sign on Windows. Under Windows the item "Internet Logs" is listed. Nothing else. When I open it there are 272 files in it. I have performed a Disk Cleanup, Virus Scan, Disk Defrag and thet are still there. It is no big kproblem, I just want to know what they are and do they continue to grow.

This may help if you are running zone alarm. I am no expert so check it out for yourself please.

Search the page for "internet logs" and it tells you how to delete them. I did this without any problems and was able to delete 100s of MBs.
Good luck.

Thanks Flooby and Isucy: I contacted Zone Alarm Technical Support and received the following answer:
Yes, these Internet Logs will continue to grow. You can delete them as often as you world like. Just make sure you are deleting the files inside of the folder and not the folder itself.
Internet Logs is a Zone Alarm Porgram. Thanks for everyone's help. Now I know and can get rid of the 272 files in the folder.
