Is this program necessary?

Trying to get my mother-in-laws inspiron running a bit better and did the normal things virus checker, spyware checker , disk clean, defrag, etc. removed some programs and toolbars which were slowing the pc down.  I found a huge program in the change or remove progams.  "Advanced Installer 3.0.1" by Caphyon it is 4,095.00 MB or 4.1 gigs, as i said huge.  I checked it out on the web and it appears to be a developers program.  Since my mother-in-law downloads games and stuff a lot, I wasn't sure if Dell installed it with the laptop or she downloaded it thinking it would help her with her games.  I believe i can remove it, but did not want to cause any problems, she doesn't know what it is.  Any definitive help would be appreciated, you can email me at larryhd@bellsouth.net , I monitor that religiously.

Thanks,
Larry

From their site on the newest ver. 3.7.1

"Current Version: 3.7.1   Release date: February 22, 2006   Trial period: 30 days

This package contains the complete Advanced Installer application, including the freeware and non-freeware features. The former can be accessed at any time by creating a project of type "Simple Package". The latter can be accessed by creating a project of type "Professional Package" or "Java Application", only for a trial period of 30 days, after which you must purchase a license to continue using them."

Apparently your version would expire in 30 days also. If it was me, and after the 30 day trial, I would uninstall it.
