Keep Windows MCE or Install Windows XP Professional? New Dell E1405 with Core Duo 2 Processor

I just purchased an E1405 Laptop.  It came with MCE.  I have a licensed copy of XP Pro.  Will MCE optimize the performance of Mulitcore processors??  I belive that XP Pro does a better job with Multicore than does XP home. 

 

Advice appreciated.  If I'm going to change to XP Pro, I want to do a clean install before I install all my other software.
