Language set up for window vista

Question

hi, I want to know if i can choose a language other than english for my window when i set up my computer?  I want to get a new pc for my parents, but they preferred the window in chinese language. I know computers (window) in Asia can set up in either english or the regional language, so i wonder if we can do that in here.   Thx!!  ^^;

If you purchase the Windows Vista Ultimate, you can shoose any of the 20 diferent languages you want. This is one of the 'exclusive' Ultimate features.

牯牯仔，ＶｉｓｔａＨｏｍｅ喺可以輸入中文嘅，但如果你要有中文介面，據我所知要Ｕｌｔｉｍａｔｅ囉。Control Panel -> System -> Upgrade Windows Vista 內可以升級你的Ｗｉｎｄｏｗｓ。:)

With any model of computer, just pay the extra $$$ for Ultimate...

i know v.home can type chinese...but they want the window tabs in chinese as well. thx! ^^;

o.o meaning that when u start window vista, from the 'start buttom on vista' to the 'menu bar on IE' all change to chinese.  i dont mean just to type chinese in the window or on the world wide web. becoz u can type and read online in any language on any english window. for example, if u added the chinese keyboard on your english window, u can type chinese right away (without any installation/dl).   btw, i asked someone in bestbuy today, he told me all window vista can change to other language. only need to download the language pack from microsoft. well, im not sure, but i will try that later.   thx all~~~ ^^

RE OldMom:     ya, just add the (language) keyboard u want from the bottom bar (how u call that? u should see 'EN' somewhere on lower right, just right click that), then under (setting) u can add a keyboard.   u should be able to see another language tab when u click on that 'EN' tab, select the language you added, then the 'word' in that language should pop up while u type (if u do it right)...  ^^;   good luck!!

GuuGuu, are you saying that the language pack includes a virtual keyboard? I know someone else who would benefit from that.

GuuGuu, I have Windows Vista Ultimate on Dim E520, and Home Premium on Inspiron E1505. Language pack is available on Ultimate ONLY. I'm using language pack on my E520 and I have english/spanish. That's not posible on Vista Home Premium

ＸＰ都一樣有自帶嘅ＩＭＥ，唔使另外買／下載 Language Pack　嘅。最重要睇妳喺邊喥買咯。
