Latest nVidia GeForce Go 7300 Drivers for Vista

Hi, I notice that nVidia seems to have newer drivers for Vista on their website. The problem is, I can't install them. Does anyone know if Dell will release newer drivers. I know that the 7300 is not a great card. However, I assume it is better than the 6800 I had in my Alienware. I could run Google SketchUp on my XP machine but I can't on my new Vista Dell machine. It seems to be a driver issue, even though Google just did release the version for Vista. My drivers are dated from back in January and I know that the WHQL drivers are never that great. I have always had better experience with the drivers from the manufacturer. Can anyone make any suggestions for me? Thanks.

I've found that laptop video drivers are only supported by the manufacturer and Nvidia doesn't release drivers for them. You can wait to see if one is released by Dell, or you can go to a 3rd party site like www.laptopvideo2go.com and get unsuported drivers. There many versions of drivers listed on this site, so it may take some trial and error to find the best you for you.

thanks. I actually did go to that site and downloaded newer drivers. They work great. I don't understand why Dell wouldn't stay updated also. Is it just that they don't have enough time? Anyway, I am working fine now. Google SketchUp works much better with these newer drivers.
