"Make sure the file name and path arer correct"
I have VISTA on a XPS410..
I've got a model train simulation game that I've installed and there are changes you can make to the game to improve it's performance by changing what is called a 'trainzoptions.txt' in the game folder.
On my old XP computer, this could be done with no problems.
But with VISTA, this is what I'm getting.
Here's what's happening. I go to C:\ProgramFiles\Auran\Trainz folder and open it up, click on the 'trainzoptions.txt' file and it opens up on what looks like Notepad.
I'm supposed to make any changes I want to, along with what's already there and required by the game, then close it. It asks me 'Do you want to save changes to "C:\ProgramFiles\Auran\Trainz\trainzoptions.txt'.
I click on Save and I'm told 'Cannot create the C:\ProgramFiles\Auran\Trainz\trainzoptions.txt file. Make sure the file and path are correct.'
If I click Ok, up comes with a 'Save as' window with 'trainzoptions.txt' in File name and a Save as type right below it.
I'm lost. Any suggestions?
