Microsoft .NET Framework, which update should I install?
There are 2 updates of .NET Framework for WinXP Pro SP2, with the same date, one is the 1.1 Service Pack 1 and the other one is the 1.0 Service Pack 3, which one should I install? Thanks.

I take it I don't need v 1.0 (no software that I have has asked for it, several have needed v1.1 to install).
No, you should not need 1.0. 1.1 is supposed to be backwards compatible. Of course, that does not mean that some inept installer might still insist on re-installing 1.0. If so, just let it, it won't hurt, but it will cost some hard disk space.
I don't suppose they do any harm as such.
No, they don't do any harm. I would just leave it alone. The alternative is to spend a few hours browsing the web to find some trick to get rid of those buggers. I decided that that's not worth my time...
