Microsoft Paint Zoom out

Very minor upgrade from paint xp to vista is that you can zoom out to 25% 50% 100% 200% 400% in xp only to 100% 200% 400%.

Zooming out is extremely useful, anyway of getting the zoom out function from vista to xp, registry edit or slip stream?

Apart from the search button on the start menu these are the only 2 useful upgrades from xp to vista the rest is just a pain.

I experience the "grr factor" mainly and the why is my system running at 50% of its speed, why is my RAM being used up so much when I'm sitting on the desktop and the "wow this doesn't work anymore factor".

I eventually got all I wanted to work on vista but xp is better for everything except the two things I just stated, oh and one more thing has a gauge of how full your drives are on my computer, thats three things we are on a roll.

You not tried it the grrr... starts now, sure they will get more sales with that.

Vista is an operating system, to test anger management so is ME, I failed the test on that one.

Perhaps you can use a different image manipulation program instead of paint (irfanview, for instance?).

hmmm I like paint though, I was just wondering if there was any way, I tried copying the application from the vista OS but never worked.

Yeah, I checked out everything I could in the Paint application and I could not figure out how to zoom out.  It just seems to be a limitation of the paint program that comes with XP.  That is why I suggested a different application.

Not sure if this free program might come in helpful. I just luv this free photo program sooooo much; I can't believe it's offered for free. I use it extensively to touchup and /or color enhance a lot of my pics. I can also paint in colors; or remove certain ones.. I just luv it. Maybe it might be worth your checking out in case you might like it as well.

I don't know a heck of a lot about photography; I'm new to it...  Maybe that's why I luv this program soooo much!  Helps make my bad pics better, lol.....:smileyvery-happy:

Hope it helps you too; have fun..
