MIcrosoft RAS and Netzero High speed service
Ok I have a dell Latitude 8100 I am trying to use Net Zero High speed. However when I install NetZero it tells me I need to install Microsoft RAS. Then it shuts down no error code. I have searched for 4 days now on this problem. Microsoft says ask Dell or NetZero, Net Zero says ask Dell or Microsoft and Now I can not find anything on this here on Dell's form or a real live person to talk to.
Now I am wondering if someone out their is willing to help me with this? And yes I have installed all the updates, new modems, tried all the topics I could find on the net and yet nothing works. Thanks for any help.

You can read about Propel features at site http://www.propel.com/ & click "Learn More"
They use Compression on connection to ISP so effectively achieving more than 56Kb/sec.
They use a separate Cache on Computer as well as IE Browser Cache.
see http://www.propel.com/ac/howitworks.jsp
They have over 35 Partner users http://www.propel.com/news/pr_10202003.jsp so if it doesn't work they fooled them all.
including Earthlink & the AU ISP I use iPrimus ISP called iSpeed (accelerate Dial-up)
http://www.iprimus.com.au/iSpeed/
If they use Propel Technology it should put a Blue square Icon in System Tray.
----------------------
You could check "Administrative Tools" > "Services" & scroll to "Remote Access Connection Manager" & check it is started , although it not doesn't see how you could connect to Network.
If NetZero is using Propel it works on my DELL OK , so you could try downloading it again as may be corrupted.

I checked "Advanced Forum Post" for propel , anytime & didn't find anything bad about Propel.
So checked for dial accelerator & found bad report about Earthlink which uses Propel Technology.

I haven't had any trouble with my AU ISP iSpeed using Propel Technology so perhaps they use an updated version of software.
I have noticed that downloads using XP Download Manager show about half speed but after about half the download file size the progress bar jumps to show complete & download finishes OK.
Probably because the download file is compressed by ISP, don't know why it shows half speed though.
My use of iSpeed (Propel) is only monthly charge so if any problem can cancel use.

Anyway to can try Propel for FREE 7 days using Propel site http://www.propel.com/ac/tryit.jsp & your Credit Card isn't charged.
If it works OK you can then Cancel Propel Site "Try It" & use your ISP's if provided by ISP.
I did & only switched to local ISP's Propel Technology when I saw it was cheaper than using Propel site.

"and (3) personally identifiable information collected as you visit and browse Web sites using the Service (as a subscriber to the fee-based Service)" The above quote from there privacy statement is unacceptable to me. They can by their policy keep every site visited, the duration of the connection. Possible also including what type of transaction were performed and any non encrypted communications.
