'Microsoft Windows Search Indexer stopped working' Help!

Question

I have received this msg several times/day for a month; I don't recall this msg the first 1 month I used the computer. Cannot get Search Indexer to start at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Navigate To:

C:

ProgramData

Microsoft

Search

Here you will find two folders named Config and Data

Delete these two Folders

Windows will rebuild these when it detects they are missing and should resolve the error message.

You can do a manual rebuild by going to:

Control Panel

Performance Information and Tools

Left menu options

Adjust indexing options

Advanced

Here you should see Rebuild and Restore Defaults buttons.

FYI: Rebuilding the index will take some time. The search function will not work until the reindexing is finished.

Didn't work. Still get the same troubleshooting feedback which says problems found. Incorrect permissions on Windows search directories not fixed it also says Windows search service is not running not fixed but then underneath that it says Windows search is not working but it says fixed. This is an issue I've been dealing with for quite a while. That used to work flawlessly but about six months ago it just appeared out of nowhere and it is immensely frustrating. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated and thank you so much for your time. I hope to hear back from you soon
