Missing files after spyware raid

I recently had some spyware hijack my computer and desktop.  I donwloaded some software and took care of the problem.  Since then I have not been able to go directly to my Juno account from the desktop shortcut.  I have a "Share Ins" problem?  I am pretty illiterate on the computer and don't know what this is.  Can I relaod winows and get this file back?

Thanks for any help

Can you get Juno to run if you don't use that shortcut? If not, you may have to reinstall Juno software. If Juno works if you don't use that shortcut, drag the shortcut into the recycle bin and create a new one. Right-click an empty area of the desktop and select New>shortcut. Then right-click the new shortcut and select Properties. Click browse to find the file the shortcut should open. You can change the shortcut icon by clicking the button near the bottom of the window.

If reinstalling Juno and/or recreating a shortcut doesn't work, you could try doing an XP system file check. Your personal files won't be harmed

click start>run
type in: sfc /scannow
(space between sfc and /)
click OK

sfc will replace any missing/damaged XP system files. Insert your XP CD if sfc requests it. When it's done, reboot and try Juno again.

Ron,

Thanks for the tip.  I did that and it looked good.  Restarted the computer, clicked on Juno and no go.  So I tried reloading and got part way through reloading and it came up and asked for the Share Ins disc.  I am stumped and tubed at the moment!!!

Do the other shortcuts work?

Don't know Juno, so maybe you should contact them to see if Share Ins is one of their files. Or is it a modem file or a printer file? Try google. Maybe it can identify Share Ins so at least you'd know what you're looking for. Sounds like it's an installation file for something called Share, but I'm just guessing here.

Ron,

All of the other shortcuts and programs work.  Some of my search on the internet show it as an HP Hewlett packard file.  They bailed on me when I told themthe printer worked...guess I can understand their position.

Trying to work with Juno att.

Thanks
