"Missing Operating System"
I found by reading the messages that other have had the same problem with Window vista that I have had. When I shut down my computer and then turn it back on it always came back with the message "missing operating system". I had to call tech service and be on the phone for 3 to 5 Hrs. at a time to reboot by computer by going to f-8 and f-12 and then load my window files again and my devices by inserting the CD's again. I could not go on line for this information because the router Westell 6100 does not work with my Verizon DSL. I think I have finally got my computer fixed but put it to sleep instead of shutting it down because I don't want to go through all that again. I also had to buy a Westell 327 direct from Verizon for $98.25, an expense I shoulld not have to pay if your sales people checked with the buyer who their DSL server is before sending out the router. I received my computer on 1/31/07 and had it installed by a man who is an computer whiz on 2/10/07. With all my problems it is now a week since I have good results with my Window Vista.
