Neither do I. The fact that none of this hardware was approved for Windows 10 may be the issue here with the latest Windows 10 update. Moving this thread to the Windows 10 board to see if others can chime in.

The eight year old ST2210B never had Windows 10 support or drivers. So Windows 10 is installing a "generic" driver for it. Open the Device Manager. What does it show under Display Adapters and Monitors?

Hi Chris,

I appreciate your quick response.

The display adapter shown is ATI Radeon HD 4200

And what about under Monitors?

Inspiron 570
ATI Radeon HD 4200

Uncharted waters here. The eight year old Inspiron 570 was also never validated/tested by us in Windows 10.

List all of the video out ports on the ATI Radeon HD 4200.

Radeon HD4200 is Legacy Video and WILL NOT install automatically.

More info:

Within monitor \ properties \ events I note the following on the date of the upgrade:

17:43:32: Device not migrated

17:43:32: Device configured (oem46.inf)

17:43:32: Device started (monitor)

Information:

Device DISPLAY\DELA05A\5&6c7e57&UID257 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match

Not sure what is the next step?

Hi again,

After the replies received, I've decided to retire my trusty Inspiron 570 and replace it with my Inspiron 13-7359 laptop, and use it as a desktop. I guess 8 years is pretty old in the tech world.

Thanks for your replies.
