Mozilla won't properly play MIDI/WAV/ETC in the background

Any help with this? I posted in another thread as well but here's the rundown:

Whenever I visit a page that uses the "EMBED" tag to embed MIDI files (in particular) Mozilla pops up a new window then launches Media player to play the music. This is rather annoying as I now have to both move media player out of the way and close the blank mozilla window as well.

I have been using Mozilla for a while but haven't messed with plug-ins for it much beyond flash, java and activeX. I haven't found a plugin for media playing yet but I'm sure there is one and a way to keep Mozilla from kicking off Media Player as well.

Any help anyone can give me on this would be greatly appreciated. I love Mozilla, it's a far more versatile and powerful browser than IE can ever hope to be.

Thanks in advance!

While I'm certainly no expert on Mozilla, the issue is explained, HERE in the "yellow section" regarding Plugins and 3rd Party Applications (#6 in the cited area).

You can find a more information under the Windows Media Player section and a downloadable .reg fix, HERE.

Yah I've already done that. Mozilla still seems bent on launching a new browser window when it hits web pages using the [EMBED HIDDEN] tag. Not sure why.
