MSN Web Page
Everytime I try to access http://web.tickle.com, the page
loads a little and then the page freezes and then it closes.
I went to MSN support, where they gave me a few steps
to try. Which, of course, did not work.
This is the only site I am having problems with.
Does anyone have any solutions I can try?
Thanks,
Mouse1

Have reported it to them using site "Feedback" link at bottom.
You could also try "Feedback" link;

Kip,
I do not have any pop up blockers installed on my system.
I have Adaware and Norton AntiVirus 2003 installed.
Gary J Hope (GJH),
I reported the problem twice so far, today makes the third time.
I have not heard anything from them as of yet.
Thank you both for replying to my post!!

I am having a similar problem. I can't get into Tripod web-builder on the e-browser and MSN browser anymore. Everyonce in awhile I can get in after rebooting a couple of times. But once I leave I can't get back in.
It loads the first screen, than my browser shuts down and I get this error message (amyone know what it means or how to fix?) Thanks:

AllynKC,
I am running XP.
Yes, I checked Windows Update and it stated there
aren't any updates at this time.
I checked and rechecked Internet Options> Advanced,
and there is no listing for 'Microsoft VM'.

KingMushroom,
I am getting the exact same error message.
The error messages I have (there are 4 in all)
are Notepad files on my desktop.
I posted the error message on another board, and someone
replied stating that I needed to uncheck Java logging in
Internet Explorer Options, Advanced.
I do not have anything under Internet Options, Advanced that pertains
to Java logging.
I hope someone out there can help with this.
Thanks,
Mouse1

when using Mozilla the 1st time it gave a POPUP blocker messages about an unrequested POPUP , which was in Background & viewed by selecting with Tab+Alt keys (hold Alt & press Tab to select)
Affects IE , MSN Explorer & Avant Browser , so still reckons it a site fault.

Yah, I get 3 of them. I did a search for a worm (as Dell suggested) and I checked the Java but I'm already checked for that. I also did a system recovery to a month ago, and am still having the same problem. I've never had this probelm until a few days ago so that should have worked. I also updated my e-browser and that didn't work either.
What's wierd is some times I can get in no problem and sometimes, nothing but shut downs.
Does anyone know if Tripod itself is having errors/issues?

Mouse1,
Which OS are you using? Have you checked at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ to see if there are any newer updates related to Microsoft VM?
Under 'Tools' > 'Internet Options' > 'Advanced', you should have a section for both 'Java (Sun)', and 'Microsoft VM'. The option for 'Java logging enabled' should be under the 'Microsoft VM' section.

Mouse1 / KingMushroom,
I don't use MSN Explorer, that could be the issue. Have you looked in the 'Advanced' tab when using IE-6? Is it the same as in MSN Explorer?
The Mozilla Browser is a third party browser, which in some ways is superior to the MS products. Gryhnhpe provided a link to download it at http://www.mozilla.org/. It's free to download, but if you use dial-up, it's probably too big to download. You can order a CD with the program for under $10 to cover shipping and handling.

Mouse1 / King Mushroom,
In the 'Tools' > 'Internet Options' > 'Advanced' area, what version of Sun Java does it show as installed? If older than Java2 v1.4.2, download the latest version from: http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp
Microsoft VM is being discontinued as of Jan 2004, although MS is providing security updates up through Sept 2004; so I doubt it's available as a download for you. Not sure why it's not available to begin with, though.
Gryjhnhpe,
I'm using IE 6, and can view both pages with no problems. But, if Mozilla works for Mouse1 and KingMushroom, it could be a work-around for their problem.
