need to read PDF files, but because i don't want the new machine on the net------->

i know, this is going to sound a little absurd, but i bought my new Dimension 4600 for digital picture work and various other offline use, so i am really wanting to avoid hooking this new puter up to the net and taking a chance of recieving any virus.

i have an older system that we use for net purposes. i have adobe acrobat ver. 5 installed, but want to put acrobat on the new puter. how can i do it without hooking it up to the net for a download?

thx

you could download it on the pc with a net connection and save to cd . . install from there.

A lot of photo applications have Acrobat on the installation disc . . you could browse a few to see if you can install from there.
