Nero 7 Drive Backup fails to boot from CD
I tried using Nero 7's Drive Backup utility which makes an emergency drive restore backup. However, after burning the backup and placing the first CD into the drive and rebooting, the system will not recognize the CD and will boot from the hard disk instead.
When I take that boot CD and place it in my other computer, it DOES boot in what appears to be a Linux kernel. Does the Dimension 4100 BIOS or something else not allow it boot with Linux? Is there a workaround?
This problem also occurs with Nero 6's Drive Backup, although in that version, Nero uses Caldera DOS to boot. With this version, the CD does boot but when it tries to load NRESTORE, it goes to a DOS prompt instead of loading the restore menu interface (which loads correctly on my other computers).
Thanks for any help!
