Nero/Roxio Software

I just installed a Sony two layer DVD burner. Nero software comes free with the Sony. But Nero removes the free Roxio that was installed on my 8250. Is there any advantage to buying an updated version of Roxio and installing it in addition to Nero. Or am I better off upgrading to the full version of Nero. Are there any problems in having both installed and which one is better.
