Thanks Ron for quick reply. That's what I thought as I have used older versions of netscape to visit dell downloads in the past. This was my first visit with this new browser version which I like alot.
It's a shame companies do these kind of things because we are the ones that suffer from the use of something different.

Be careful & safe

Urebo,
I have exactly the same problem. Dell recently updated their download site, but they didn't implement support for Netscape, even though they previously supported it.

I had a private conversation about this with one of the Forum Moderators. He passed my comments along to the people who maintain the site but it appears that they have no intention of implementing support for Netscape again.

Wonder if this is because of some agreement Dell has with Microsoft to squeeze other browsers out. I run IE just to download updates and then immediately switch back to Netscape.

Urebo,
You're welcome. Sorry I don't have a solution to this annoying problem. But it's probably easier/cheaper for Dell because they only have to implement an IE-compatible version of the site.

I believe, though never used it, that Firefox (or is it Mozilla?) has the option to implement an IE-compatibity mode so sites requiring IE will work correctly without switching browsers. I suspect that means it runs just IE in the background but presents the page to you with the Firefox (Mozilla?) interface.

Ron,

You are correct about Firefox. I understand the new Netscape version 8 also does the same as Fire fox but it no longer provides an E-mail client with it's browser and I refuse to give up my Netscape E-mail client which has worked flawless for all these years. So struggle on I will.

Urebo,
Ditto that.

And we thought PCs were supposed to make things easier. ;)
