New HHD and no Windows OS reinstall disk
Hello,
MY Dell inspiron 1545, 14 months old send an error message indicating the Hard Drive was about to fail and that it neede to be relpaced, I did a System Restore to factory settings usign the F-8 key (succeful)and the message was still there when it booted up. I bought s a replacement HD through Dell and am wondering, I need to boot from the CD/DVD drive (when I insert the new HD)and I know how to do this. My question is the only disk I have that came with the lap top is a Dell Drivers and Utilities CD, shouldn't I have a a Windows OS CD? I was running Windows 7.
Thank You
