No bootable Devices error

When I try to boot from a shut off mode or a hibernate or standby modes, I get the following error on a black screen: "No bootable Devices--Strike F! to retry boot, F@ for setup utility Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics. Striking F1 will reboot completely Can't boot without that above mentioned error screen. Any ideas?

Try running the Dell Diagnostics Utility. This problem could be caused by a number of things - faulty hard drive, loose or faulty drive cable, faulty motherboard, etc. The diagnostics should identify the problem.

That means nothing. You have a problem and you've asked for some help. Have you run the diagnostics???

I did run the diagnostic and it showed everything was OK.

Can you identify anything that might have changed (hardware or software) in your system around the time this started to happen, or has this been an ongoing problem since you purchased the system?
