Go to 'panel control', 'administrative tools', 'computer management'.

Open the item 'Computer management (local)', 'Local users and groups', 'Users'.

Tell us what are the users listed there. They may be 'Administrator', 'Guest', 'ASPNET'...

The users are as follows:

Admin  -- my name -- Built-in acount for administrating the computer/domain

ASPNET -- ASP.NET Machine Account -- Used for running the ASP.NET

Guest -- my name
Guest -- john and mary
Guest -- Guest

I tried clicking on Admin and unchecked "change password at next bootup," but access was denied.

Do you know the admin password?

To run the installation program with admin privileges, you may press SHIFT, click in the executable with the left button of mouse and select the option "Run as...". Select the "admin" and type the password.

What do you mean by, click in the "executable?"

When you want to install new software that requires admin privileges, you can run the installation program (setup.exe or something like this) with admin privileges.

By the way, when you turn on your computer, Does the windows display a screen with the user names?
Is the "Admin" user displayed there?

If the "Admin" user isn't displayed there, there is another user with admin privileges. You can find the user in the "Computer Management":

Go to 'Computer management (local)', 'Local users and groups', 'Groups'.
Open the group "Administrators" and see what members are in this group.
