No taskbar, no start menu, no icons, nothin'...help!
I hope someone can help! I bought the Dimension E510 a month ago. I was able to set up and all that, username, etc. Now, when I click on my name to log in, it says it's loading my personal settings, then the icons and task bar appear, for about three seconds, then they disappear into never neverland. I can get online and use programs, but I have to Ct.Alt.Del to get the task manager up and then open the program that way. VERY FRUSTRATING. When I called Dell, they said it was a Windows XP problem, to call them. I call Microsoft and they tell me it was preloaded and to call Dell. Frustration doesn't begin to explain how I feel, especiallly with Dell.

try ctrl+del and see the taskmanager and run explorer.exe as a new task. and if this work reinstalled the service pack either 1 or 2.
