Orange Light blinking and 4 beep sound
I am using XPS 8500, i just bought this desktop less than a year. This few week suddenly it had this problem when i on my computer the start of each day,my computer will hang and the screen will hang there and i will not be able to move. and when i try to off it and on, the same things will happen. Some time after I off this by press the start button, there will be a orange light blinking and 4 beep sound. I cant use my computer comfortably, can someone help me?

Hi hngyiren,
The Orange blinking power button and 4 beeps indicates Memory Read/Write failure. I suggest you to reseat the memory modules one by one and check if the system works properly. You can refer the user manual provided in the link below for instructions to reseat the memory modules:

But I am still on warranty,I can't open the casing to reseat the memory. Is there any other way to solve the problem? Some time when I start up my computer,it will freeze

Hi hngyiren,
Thank you for your reply. You can reseat the memory modules as it is a customer replaceable unit and as you are being guided by a Dell technician, the warranty would not be void. Please follow the steps provided in the user manual and let me know about your findings.
