Outlook Express Locks up on outgoing email

Is there possibly a corrupt email message stuck in your outbox?  Have your tried deleting everything in your outbox?

That was an informative site, unfortunately it did not help in this situation.  My problem does not occur on one particular email.  I can create a new email but when I hit the send button everything freezes up.  I do ctrl alt delete and all of my outlook express programs are showing not responding so I have to shut everything down.  Could I have some kind of virus?

There isn't anything in my outbox.

ok... here is another strange thing with this problem.  I logged out and logged back in under a different user on my computer.  That outlook express is set up with the same email account.  I could send and receive fine over there so maybe there is something wrong with the outlook express under my login but not my actual computer????
