Outlook Express

My incoming mail is somehow automatically changing to "127.0.0.1", which is some kind of test loop.  It should be pop3.knology.net.  When the incoming mail is set to "127.0.0.1" It will not let me receive any e-mails.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Have you tried System Restore?

Have you tried deleting that mail account and then re-configuring it?

I have done a system restore, it did not work.  I will try to delete the account and see what that does.  Thanks!:smileyhappy:

Well I deleted the account and that did not work either.  I also forgot to say that  I did a live chat with the help desk at Dell and they said it is a software problem.  I found in the knowledge base on the Dell site about how to manually uninstall and then reinstall Outlook Express, but it talks about renaming files in the registry and all kinds of stuff.  I'm not computer savvy enough to handle all of that.  Any other suggestions?:smileyindifferent:

You could try doing a repair installation of XP from your XP CD.  That should keep all your data intact and just replace all system files such as OE.
