over 100 processes running?

Question

something weird has been happening lately with my processes. I noticed that my RAM was slowly getting depleted and I opened up task manager and noticed that there was a lot of rundll32.exe running. Every few seconds another rundll32.exe shows up in task manager. I have done several spyware and virus scans in safe mode and nothing came up. a couple times there were over 600 processes running. I have done a clean install of vista and this still happens. I would appreciate some help. Thanks

It is most likely spyware even though you have tried searching for malware already. Try downloading AVG Free Anti-Virus and trying to get rid of it that way.   The link I'm providing is a link to download AVG. Please run it and see if it works. http://free.grisoft.com/

If problem persist, try disabling MSCONFIG STARTUP items...
