Partition won't let me load windows 8.

Trying to reinstall from disc that came with computer, but it won't let me use the partition it was originally using, it says cannot use this partition it is of GPT partition. First tried installing Windows 7 and got the same dialog. PC faild to go back to windows 8, so try to refresh and then reset and then reinstall. I cannot install Win8 on any partition.
