whenever i go on dell pc checkup, under support and services,I get the following message:

We're Sorry:

Dell PC Checkup will not work on your computer because the computer does not meet one or more of the following requirements.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Dell PC Checkup may support additional configurations in the future.

Required configuration for Dell PC Checkup :

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP.
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and later.

It used to work the first 2 weeks, when i first received the computer.  I have all the required configurations. I've only had the computer for a little over a month. Also , the active x is not opening when i click on pc check-up, it just says, checking, downloading components and then the message. help me, thanx    Angel

I had this problem earlier and ended up uninstalling Internet Explorer through the Control Panel (Add or remove programs).  I then reinstalled it and it worked fine.  You can also go to Microsoft web site and go to the Internet Explorer site and upgrade.  Hope it works for you.

thanx all for your help, but i think you were right about the aol, because i did have it installed, then i had to restore aol and did not install the check-up, and all of a sudden the dell pc check-up is working. I didn't know why, until i read your idea about aol. thanx so very much. :smileywink:
