PLEASE HELP!! cannot install WinTVR3 after clean install of win vista!!

This may be just a simple matter of permissions. Right click on the installation file for the program (eg. install.exe or setup.exe) and select "Run as administrator".

but unfortunatly it still gives me the error...right clicked the.exe to run as administrator but still no luck. 

Have a look here then. You might find something that applies to your situation.

just went through google, should of done that before asking around here on DCF, my appologies.

 

 

well for anyone else who might have this problem, since this error is for some reason is very common lately, this is what i did. I searched through my harddriveto get me here:

 

C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver.   depending on what version you have (i had 8) you click on that folder and you will find a few files. There is an exe called idriver.exe. click on that until you see in task manager that its running, and then run the installation of the application that has been giving errors.

 

I dont think this happens to every single app you try to install, like i installed my games with no trouble. this might not be the proper way(or the sloppy way) to do it, but since i dont have the most experience with this, i tried it myself and got it to work.
