Please Help I only need 1 XP-OS
I have tried to reinstall Windows XP on my 4600C and now I have 2 Operating Systems and a Windows Setup that appear everytime I start my computer. ofcorse only one of the Operating Systems works because the other one has errors but it is still annoying. I can't seem to get my system back to factory settings. When I reinstalled XP it said it was going to delete all the information on my hard drive but that didn't happen. All the programs are still there they just don't work and are full of errors. I already followed the directions online.

It didn't really help.

From your description of the current state of your system (original contents of the hard drive remain) it sounds as though you did not boot from the CD-ROM drive but rather attempted to install XP after letting the reinstallation CD autostart.
There is another set of reinstallation instructions here which includes links to setting the CD-ROM drive as the first boot device. Make sure that is done before you begin. Note that in the SuperSite link the existing C:\ partition (which is the one on which XP and programs are presently installed and which may be the only partition on your system) is deleted, then recreated, then formatted. Performing these steps insure that nothing is present on the hard disk when XP begins to be installed.
