please, I need help uninstalling iTunes on Vista computer........

Question

I installed Quick Time and I guess iTunes came with it.  I don't need iTunes and I trying to UNinstall it.  I went to 'Programs and Features' and selected iTunes and Uninstall and it get the following:   'WINDOWS INSTALLER     The system adminstrator has set policies to prevent  this installation.'   and when I click OK, it get the following:   'INSTALLED UPDATES  You do not have sufficient access to uninstall iTunes.  Please contact your system administrator.'   I don't even have an iPod and I don't need this.......can someone please help me?   Thanks, Pamela

Try to download againg the iTunes installer, and see if there's an option to uninstall.   Is any other user on the computer? Are you using a standar or an administrator account?

Uninstall the whole Quiktime package, make sure the iTunes is uninstalled as well. Then reboot, go back to the Quiktime website and download Quiktime 8 only.(there should be an option to download Quiktime only) See if that works?
